A short escape from reality

The Tour Super is the ideal option for those who just want a 'taste' of the experience.

The Tour Super is the ideal option for those who just want a 'taste' of the experience. After the first 15-20 minutes of theoretical-practical briefing, where you will learn the basic rules for safety while driving the sledge, we set off on the tour, which lasts about 40 minutes (the journey time is quite variable, as there are many factors influencing the pace and it is impossible to establish a constant speed).
The Tour Super follows a route through a magical snowy forest that accompanies us throughout the hike.
There will be breaks along the way for four main reasons: firstly the aim of this experience is not to take part in a dog sledding competition, but to experience a unique relationship with our team and with nature by having the opportunity to stop and appreciate the breathtaking views we will encounter; secondly, because we may need to catch our breath (lacking due to the altitude and physical exertion); the third reason is linked to the cleanliness of the track since our guide will take care of picking up the droppings, not to spoil the wonderful places we find ourselves in; last but not least, we may also stop to take a few photos.
Dog sledding is a sport that requires effort during the performance. Thanks to this effort, we can easily create a relationship of respect and cooperation with our cuddly friends. However, those who choose to experience this adventure must be healthy and in acceptable athletic condition; in this regard, but above all for the dog's health, there is a weight limit of 90kg.
Children must be at least 3 years old to participate. The youngest children must be carried in the sled by the musher (instructor) who will be their guide throughout the experience. For children who aspire to drive their own sled, there are physical requirements in terms of minimum height and minimum weight, which will be clarified when booking.

The Briefing

From theory to practice.

The experience begins with a theoretical-practical briefing that explains how to safely drive your sled and how to create that famous team atmosphere of cooperation and respect.

The briefing will be held in Italian and/or English, therefore participants must have a basic knowledge of at least one of these languages.

If you are eager to understand how to drive a sled pulled by Siberian Huskies, or if you just want to brush up on some technical knowledge prior to your excursion, here on the side the musher Italo explains some details!

DEPARTURE

How to reach us

ATTENTION

During winter time, there is only one road that allows you to reach Passo delle Erbe, the place from which our tours depart, since the other routes (Luson road and Funes road), usually accessible during the summer period, become cross-country skiing tracks that are not accessible by car.

To easily reach us, you need to follow the route from Val Badia SS244 state road to the SP29 provincial road, which sequentially gets you through San Martino in Badia and Antermoia village.

It is then essential to check the itinerary as far in advance as possible to avoid running into one of the closed roads and thus missing the opportunity to enjoy your experience.

In this regard, we are available to clarify any doubts you may have.

Our address is: STRADA BOERZ, 26, 39030 San Martino in Badia BZ

FEELING RELAXED

The Details

How early should you arrive at the meeting place?

We kindly ask you to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance, to get to know the little dogs who are resting and have a warm drink in the Ütia Cir hut.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing ski clothing with warm and comfortable footwear ranging from winter hiking boots to after-ski boots (moon boots and similar are strongly discouraged); helmets and goggles are not necessary.

Will we be able to take photographs?

Taking photos and recording videos is not allowed during the tour, as leaving one hand off the handlebars is dangerous. However, you can ask your guide to take a few shots at the most attractive spots! Before setting off and after the tour is over, it is always possible to take photos with our cuddly friends.

Can adults be transported by an instructor?

Yes, but only in exceptional cases. At the time of booking, the weight and height requirements will be explained. If you satisfy those requirements, you can be carried by the instructor.

Can I transport my child in the sled?

Unfortunately, this is not possible for safety reasons. Children must be carried on the instructor's sledge, and they will be involved during the whole experience.

In case of bad weather?

In the event of impracticability of the path (icy path or excessively snowy path) we will notify you as soon as possible and try to find a solution to reschedule your excursion.
